Job Brief
​
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our business operations and procedures comply with legal regulations and internal policies. This role requires a strong understanding of industry legal standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement company policies and regulations.

Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.

Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.

Oversee and monitor activities for compliance with laws, regulations and policies.

Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.

Respond to government investigations and queries as the principal point of contact.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in compliance, legal, or financial fields is a plus.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance officer role, preferably within a government contracting environment.

Strong knowledge of industry legal standards and corporate governance best practices.

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.

Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

What You'll Do
As a Slatebid Compliance Officer, you'll ensure strict adherence to government laws and regulations while fostering a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. Your expertise in audits, risk assessment, and contract review will promote a culture of compliance and strengthen relationships with government partners.
In addition, you will analyze and interpret complex government regulations and policies, and provide guidance and recommendations to clients and team members to ensure compliance.
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of government contracting regulations and policies, as well as experience negotiating and managing contracts. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently and as part of a team. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
